From the 10th to the 12th of May, at Cnema, in Santarém, all those interested in hunting will once again have the opportunity to get to know all the news in the sector, at the biggest national Hunting Fair.
Expocaça has the support and commitment of various entities in the sector, with emphasis on the ANPC, Portuguese Association of Hunting Packs, Clube Português de Monteiros, CNCP, Fencaça, SCI-Lusitânea Chapter. We rely on them to offer a vast and diversified program of parallel activities.
Participating in Expocaça, whether as an Exhibitor or Visitor, is guaranteed to contribute to the revitalization of Hunting and the entire economy associated with it.
Expocaça 2023 was visited by around 23,350 people, which represents an increase of around 10% compared to the previous year, demonstrating the importance of this event for all hunters and for all those interested in the world of hunting.
Expocaça 2022 was a milestone as, once again, the largest Hunting Fair in Portugal, having registered a record number of visitors, with an increase of about 18% compared to the last edition, for a total of aprox. 21,000 visitors.
THE CELEBRATION OF THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF EXPOCAÇA WAS A SUCCESS. More Exhibitors, more public, as this event didnt´t had for many years
In 2017 Expocaça had a hudge growth of both visitors and exhibitors!
It is in this line that we continue to work, together with all the associations and organizations of hunters in the country, for Expocaça to return to meet the big successes that were it appanage.
In 2015 and 2016, the effort of the Exhibitors and the organization allowed some improvement and effectiveness of the event.
Despite these difficulties, in 2013 - year of Expocaça silver anniversary - the event returned to have some growth. But the vitality of the sector is still a reflection of the crisis that Portugal has been living.
From 2010, whether by virtue of the economic crisis, whether by virtue of legislative changes that reflect quite negatively the sector, Expocaça began do feel the difficulties for which passed several companies linked to the sector, with many being forced to close.
From that time, Expocaça registered high growth indexes annually, reaching more than 200 Exhibitors and having been visited by over 40.000 people.
To meet the expectations and needs of various companies in the sector, in 1996 we transfer Expocaça to Centro Nacional de Exposições, in Santarém. A place that has been offering the necessary conditions, in particular by its location in the centre of Portugal.
The continued growth in both number of Exhibitors and visitors, led Expocaça to be held in a place with more space and better conditions. We choose the Hippodrome at Quinta da Marinha in Cascais, where the event took place from 1992 to 1995.
A new initiative in this year was born in Portugal, the first Hunting and Guns exhibition, which took place in Forum Picoas, in Lisbon. Soon in it first edition, Expocaça was a huge success. So, we had to held the 2nd and 3rd editions in Tapada da Ajuda.
