From 1989 making history ... Expocaça is today the most important and largest Fair of Hunting of the Iberian Peninsula and one of the most important European game events. Learn here a little of our history.
1989 In a new initiative is born in Portugal the 1st Hunting fair. Location: Picoas Forum in Lisbon, attended by about 30 exhibitors.
1990 and 1991 Expocaça took place in Tapada da Ajuda, Lisbon. The success and adherence were guaranteed.
1992 to 1995 Expocaça was held in the Hippodrome at Quinta da Marinha in Cascais, a true Fair Field, with a scenary of rare beauty, joining in 1994, seven dozen exhibitors and more than 20,000 visitors.
1996 to 2000 Meeting the expectations of various players, the Expocaça took place in Santarém, in the National Center for Exhibitions. A won a bet right from the start. Indeed, in its first year, 1996, the number of exhibitors increased to more than 100 and the number of visitors increased to nearly 25,000 people.
2001 and 2002 The growth of Expocaça made extend to the two Pavilions at National Exhibition Center and the area of the "hall" of entry, occupying over 13,000 m2 of exhibiting area.
2003 In commemoration of its 15th anniversary the Expocaça was visited by over 43,000 people and was attended by more than 210 direct exhibitors, is again a huge success and very effective at all levels.
2004 to 2007 Starts a new cycle with improvements in infrastructure and increasing the investment by the exhibitors in their presence, with the numbers exceeding 45,000 visitors and over 230 exhibitors, continuing to assert itself as one of the most important European game events.
2008 Expocaça celebrated 20 years as landmark event in the history of hunting in Portugal. With about 44,000 visitors, the participation of hundreds of exhibitors, companies and institutions and the Secretary of State Dr. Ascenso Simões, this event surpassed all expectations of the public and exhibitors.
2009
Even with all the difficulties on the International economy, and on the Hunting sector, Expocaça, were able to reach all its goals. We had less Spanish Exhibitors, but this loss was substituted by the presence of international Exhibitors of hunting safaris and new national Exhibitors.
In 2010, we rely on all exhibitors to be part of this success!
